First Winter Storm of 2010-2011

This weekend we had our first winter storm.  On Sunday, Ryan was begging to go outside and play because "it's beautiful outside mommy, we HAVE to"  So Ryan, Aaron and I bundled up and played out in the snow for about a 1/2 hour. Luckily we came in when we did because it started snowing and blowing again as soon as we went inside! Here are a couple of pictures from the event.  Including the boys' favorite hats that their Aunt Gina made them~Thank you!  We wear them everywhere!

Aaron is NOT sure about this!
Trying to get a picture of them on the back deck...

Aaron's 2 year stats!

We finally went for Aaron's 2 year check up~ so at 25 months (we were a month late) he weighs 31 pounds (80%) and is 34 1/2 inches tall (50%).  No wonder my back hurts from picking him up so much!  He has another/the same ear infection as about a week ago so we are on antibiotics again and have a follow-up in a month to check some other things out.  Overall a good visit!  Ryan's was scheduled for the same day, but silly mom forgot about preschool...so we will have to wait until January!  Here's a picture of Ryan at this same age!

Videos!

When I was trying to add the pictures, I was having a hard time getting the videos up.  SO after a bunch of configuring, here they are!  The first is from Aaron's birthday showing how much they like the magna doodle and how well they share :)  The second is Ryan opening his gift from Aunt Jill and the third is Ryan & Emma dancing!  If you think that Ryan is dancing weird, it's because he is dancing like Charlie Brown! Ryan and Aaron have fallen in love with his shows and watch them whenever they get a chance. This is NOT how he normally dances :)

A visit with Santa

About a week ago, Delphos had a holiday festival.  I was at my work Christmas party and Paul was scouting, but Aunt Lisa and grandma took all of the kids uptown to see Santa!  Ryan sat on his lap (another first for him) and told him exactly what his daddy coached him to say "I want a trip to Disney World"  Apparently Santa was speechless and said something to the effect of we'll see and maybe we'll get you something with Disney on it!  Aaron on the other hand was not feeling well and wanted nothing to do with Santa.  Here are a couple of pictures from their trip to see Santa!  By the way, that is the same thing Ryan told them at preschool he wanted to ask Santa for.  We are in trouble!!!

Ryan's 5th birthday!

For Ryan's 5th birthday we decided to celebrate at Chuck E Cheese's!  This was a wonderful time because all of Ryan's cousins were able to be there!  Emma and Ally hit it off great and were very sad to see the other go.  The rest of the kids seemed to have a blast and were ready to go 3 HOURS LATER!!!!  Ryan's into Phineas and Ferb right now, so again Uncle Marv and Aunt Lisa to the rescue with another fantastic cake!  Ryan received a ton of presents and is very thankful for all of them!  It's so hard to believe my baby is now a boy that will go to kindergarten next year!  Oh how time flies!!!

Ryan really is growing up b/c he is giving Chuck E a hug!  Every other time he has seen him he has ran away and hidden from him!!  Big step for him!
Birthday cake that he won't eat!  When asked he said he wanted a birthday cake but he wouldn't eat it!

Clement visit!

Brian, Gina and the girls came to visit the week after Thanksgiving.  We were able to spend a lot of time with them during the 3 days they were here!  Emma and Ryan were pretty much inseparable and 2 of the days they played together at Grandma's all afternoon while the younger ones took naps! We are so greatful they made the long trip and were even able to play in the snow a little before they left!  I know Ryan is super excited to see his cousin Emma "sometime after Christmas"!

Paul's Birthday getaway!

For Paul's birthday this year, we went on a weekend getaway to Cleveland to the Fabulous Food show!  We went early Saturday morning and then spent the day at this wonderful food spectactular!  We were able to see an Alton Brown show and mingle around looking at all of the exhibits.  We had to check out our new camera's zoom, so that is why we have such a close up of Alton...we didn't really get to see him that close!  We finished up in my favorite part of the show which was the wine and beer testing.  We were fortunate enough to have Paul's parents join us and had a good time catching up without kids around! Once we survived the shuttle ride back to the hotel (20 people on a bus made for 10), we went out to eat and met up with Paul's old friend Nolan.  The next day was full of excitement as I was going to my first Brown's game in four years!  I was hoping to see my first Brown's win in person against the Jets, but was disappointed once again with an overtime loss.  Whenever I go they don't win, but certainly give me some excitement to watch!

OSU vs. Michigan

Every year we attend the Mesker OSU/Michigan party!  This year mom and the boys only stayed until half time, but we managed to root for another OSU victory!  Godfather Paul was very generous in giving Aaron his birthday present and we did our annual Sadler family picture!  By the way...Aaron carries his guitar around playing it with the wiggles!  Thanks a lot Paul!

Aaron's 2nd birthday!

On November 12th we celebrated the birth of Aaron James with a family birthday party featuring BROBEE!!  Aaron has a brobee that he carries with him everywhere including to bed each night.  With that in mind, we had a Yo gabba gabba party that included an awesome Brobee cake made by his Uncle Marv and godmother Lisa!  We also had party hats which everyone took a turn in wearing!  I have proof :) We had a pretty good time and wanted to finally share some pictures.  Sorry it took so long!

Blue Jay Football!

Paul took Ryan to his first Blue Jay football game last weekend!  I wasn't sure how it would go since Ryan doesn't like to sit still for very long AND it was very cold outside!  They made it to the 3rd quarter with 9 minutes left in the game and decided to leave because of the cold and the score!  (DSJ 50, New Breman 16).

Here are a couple of cute stories that I thought were blogworthy.  The first one started out with Ryan asking Paul if people were going to be able to see them on tv.  We assume this is because we watch football on tv and he thought people were watching this game and would be able to see him!  Unfortunately, no this game would not be on tv.

The second story takes a little more explaining.  Ryan is infatuated with numbers and especially the numbers of highways.  At the beginning of the game, Ryan started pointing out numbers.  The first number he pointed out was 75.  It went something like this.  "Daddy, there's 75, just like the number we go on for vacation!Oohhh daddy there's 33! Where's 66?"  What will he come up with next?

Woody and Buzz Lightyear take on St. Marys!

This year for halloween, the boys dressed up as woody and buzz lightyear.  Luckily, Ryan is not very picky and Toy Story 3 was released this year.  With this combo we were able to use Ryan's costume from halloween at this age and add Buzz to the picture for this year's costume!  The Dynamic Duo and their daddy went trick or treating in the freezing cold to bring home some candy to their mommy!  Poor Aaron's hands were so cold it took over an hour for them to warm up!  Grandma and Grandpa Clement stopped by to bring the boys some very yummy treats from McDonalds!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Preschool!

Ryan started his second year of preschool this year.  He is going on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-11:15.  He LOVES going to school and always has to tell me what he has done that day.  Especially whether or not he gets a "job".  The days he doesn't, he is very sad and I always remind him that there's always the next day!  After school he goes to the babysitters, but is always quick to get to his magnadoodle when we get home.  There he precedes to write everyone's names who had a job that day.  I am forever telling him how to spell the names of the kids in his class!  He also gets a booklet that has a story staring that particular letter.  Most recently was the F book and it was Fairly Fantasticly Fun to Read!  Here is a picture from the first day of preschool this year!
Below is a picture from Ryan's first day of preschool last year!  Look how much he has grown!
