It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

Last week I introduced Ryan to the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" (Click to see it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3ZAGBL6UBA) song on YouTube. If you haven't seen the dancing bannana dance around and sing, it is pretty entertaining...the first dozen times. The song will get stuck in your head, so be careful! Ryan is now officially obsessed with this song, and if he isn't singing it himself, he is asking to see it on the computer. He also likes the "Do You Like Waffles?" song that he clicks on after watching PBJ.

For a 3 year old, it is impressive/scary watching Ryan use the computer on YouTube. Before the PBJ song (now known as BPBJ); Ryan watched the Noggin "Move to the Music" videos on YouTube starring Moose. Normally he will start out watching "Everywhere I Go" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abUhT2zeCKU) and go from there. He recognizes the songs by their screen-shot and sings along. He likes "I don't like candy corn", "Beside the Seaside", and "Are we there yet?" as his favorites. I just have to get him to the first video, and he takes it from there.

The other thing Ryan likes on YouTube is roller coasters. Ryan has rode the Magnum and Millenium Force many times this way. He also picked up a 4-letter word from one of these videos...he surely couldn't have learned it from anywhere else!

BTW, this blog is now linked to Paul and Kim's Facebook accounts. Whatever we post on SadlerBoys, will show up there too. The videos will not play on the Facebook version, so you still have a reason to visit here!

Chuck E. Cheese's

The Sadler family made their first trip ever to Chuck E. Cheese! A new location has just opened in Lima so we decided to check it out! Ryan was excited because he knew he could "eat pizza" and "play games" at Chuck E. Cheese. I showed him some YouTube of Chuck E. Cheese's (you can find ANYTHING on YouTube!) to show him what to expect.

Aaron seemed to have a good time posing w/ Chuck E.

Ryan found a lot of games that he liked - Basketball Pop-a-shot, JettRider, and riding the Wheels on the Bus ride with his brother! There are a lot of games that he will eventually grow into there too! Ryan was also scared to death of Chuck E. You can see a picture of Ryan clinging to Mommy when Chuck E. came around.

All in all, a great time, and we look forward to coming back soon!

BTW, I figured out how to change who actually posts!

Teeth!

Last week Aaron's first tooth broke through on the bottom front left. You can feel it, but you can't hardly see it yet! Today, I was checking again and the bottom front right tooth has also broken through! My baby boy is getting teeth already!
When I get a chance I will post a picture of his new toothy smile! That is if he'll let me :)

On a health note, Aaron is on nebulizers for another month to try and keep the breathing problems away. These are shorter then the old ones he was doing so he's tolerating them better.

Paul's random pictures!

Video of Ryan playing "This Little Piggy Went to Market" w/ Aaron

Ryan w/ a cheesy look on his face w/ Aaron. Aaron is looking very much like Ryan at that age! We'll see in a few years if Aaron gets the cheese too!

Mommy took this picture of the Sadler boys!

Ryan and Aaron right before playing the Little Piggy game! Also, Daddy has been "singing" Beat it by Michael Jackson (actually going do-do-do-do to the guitar intro) to Aaron and moving his arms like he is playing guitar. Ryan LOVES this, and tries to do it w/ Aaron too. Ryan calls it the "do-do-do" song.

Finally, here is a working link to OpenHousesOhio.com that I have been working on. We'll see if it picks up any steam.

Ryan alarm clock - Kahlahari trip

Guest blogger - Daddy!

On Friday, we wanted to get up early so that we could go to the Kahlahari water park resort in Sandusky for our anniversary. But, I accidently forgot to set our alarm. Luckily Ryan came in around 6:45 am, and told me "I did it!" I asked, what did you do. He told me, "I got up," and went back to the living room to lie down on the couch. So basically, he just came in to wake me up, like he knew I forgot to set my alarm!

We dropped the boys off at my parents. After about 5 minutes there, Ryan told us that he was going to stay there w/ Aaron, and Mommy and Daddy could go swimming. "Bye Mommy Daddy. Have fun swimming!" Don't let the door hit your butt on the way out of the door wasn't said, but it was understood.

We had a blast at Kahlahari, and recommend it to anyone! Ask Kim to tell you about what happened to Paul on the "Flowrider" - we might not be asked back!

Mommy and Daddy update!

Mommy has gone back to school to finish her Masters of Science in Nursing. She has two classes, two self studies and a practicum until she is finished! Depending on how life shakes out she hopes to be finished next year at this time!

Daddy has finished for the school year and is working on a side business with his friend Dan Swick. It is called openhousesohio.com check it out! Also, daddy resigned from being head coach at St. Marys, it's a long story, but it's for the best for all of us! He is still open to coaching basketball, so I'm sure we'll still be going to games somewhere!

This summer we are going to several concerts, the first being Def Leopard/Poison/Cheap Trick! We are also going to Jimmy Buffet and then a Kenny Chesney stadium concert! That day we will also see Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Montgomery Gentry, and Kenny (I think that's all!) It's my own version of country concert!

As for vacations, it seems that we will be going to the Outer banks with friends in August! This will be quite the adventure b/c it will be a long drive and we are going for a week! The kids have never been away from home that long before! So wish us luck!

Ryan update!

Ryan is 3 1/2 and ornery as ever! He loves entertaining his brother and "making him happy". He is always giving us Aaron updates with his favorite one being..."Mommy, Aaron awake, eyes open!" I usually roll my eyes because it means that Ryan has gone into wherever he was sleeping and woke him up! He has absolutely no interest in potty training, much to my dismay but plan on working on it all summer (hopefully it doesn't take that long!) Ryan and his daddy have been having a lot of fun outside already this summer! They chase each other around the driveway on their bikes and play wiffle ball! It should be a very fun summer!

Here are some pictures of the most recent Sadler b-day celebration!

Ryan doing his favorite thing...playing on the computer! He's only allowed to play on the real computer at Gma and Gpa's houses. As far as he knows nickjr.com only exists there, and that is how Paul and I like! Here at home he plays on his clickstart which is a keyboard that connects to a tv and you play games. We call it Ryan's computer! He will stay up there for hours as long as daddy is too!

6 month check-up

Ok, so it's almost a month late, but wanted to let you know that at his 6 month check-up, Aaron weighed 19 lbs and was 27 inches long (75th percentile for both) and his head is in the 30th percentile. He is sitting up very well on his own and is starting to babble a lot! Since his check-up he has started eating all kinds of baby food including cereal (he wouldn't eat it before!) and is saying bababababa all the time. I don't think it is in regards to his bottle though! Most recently he had an ear infection and was put on breathing treatments...hoping that with the nice weather he will come out of being sick all the time (or what seems all the time). I have a feeling we won't be out of the woods though until his teeth come in! He is working on the bottom two at the moment. I'm not sure how long they will take to come in, but it won't be soon enough!
