Snow fun!

It had been a disappointing winter so far because there hadn't been a whole lot of snow! That all changed a couple of weeks ago! The next problem was the extreme cold spell we were having....it finally broke and the "big" boys were able to go enjoy the snow! Here are some pictures from their time outside!

2 month check-up

Aaron had his two month check-up this week which also included his first series of shots! We actually just got those today because we have to get them at the health department! Anyway, he did really well besides turning bright red and me telling him to breathe (like he knows what I'm saying, but it made me feel better!) He recovered very quickly and is currently in a good mood!

At his visit on Tues., he weighed 13 lbs even and was 23 inches long. This translates into the 75th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. I have to be honest and say I'm a little disappointed that he's not bigger since Ryan was such a big boy all along! I guess this is just the first of the many differences I will find between my boys!

Anyway, we have started him on juice to try and help with his constipation issues. So far no changes, but it's only been a few days! They said he has really dry skin (probably eczema) which is apparently a Sadler trait! Aveeno baby lotion has helped tremendously, and baby oil has helped with his battle with cradle cap! So besides looking a little greasy sometimes, he is starting to look like himself again!

Aaron right after his bath showing off this crazy hair! Also Ryan was nice enough to share "Buuni" with his baby brother!

Paul thinks Aaron is starting to look like Ryan did at this age! Here is Aaron above...

Here is Ryan...I'm not so sure! By the way, I just looked up Ryan's information and at 2 months he weighed 14 lbs 14 oz and was 25 inches tall! I'm very surprised!

Aaron James-Baptism

On January 4th Aaron James was baptized into the Catholic church. It was a joyous occasion that was made extra special with the help of his Godparents-Paul Mesker and his Aunt Lisa! After the ceremony we were able to go to Paul and Jane's for cake and munchies! Thank you everyone for coming to celebrate with us and for all of the wonderful gifts! We really appreciate them!

New Years Day!

On New Years day we went to Paul's mom and dad's house, or as Ryan calls it "am-ma, papa, buuni's house" Everyone was finally healthy so the kids had a good time playing together as long as they shared!

I put the kids in their Browns clothes b/c it is a new year and they will be having a new start with a new coach and new GM! Go Browns in 2009!

New Years Eve-Sadler style

With the excitement of adding another child to the family, we decided to take it easy this year for New Year's. We had our friends over-the Swick's which is always a good time! Ryan and Eli were very excited to get to see each other, but then didn't really play together too much! It's funny how toddler's act! Anyway, we had a great time and appreciate them coming over to ring in the new year with us!

Finally-- Aaron smiling on Camera!

We finally got Aaron smiling on camera! It took us a while, but the persistence paid off! He is really getting big (or so it seems to us) and has started cooing some too! It is so cute!

I decided to throw in some random pictures of the boys hanging out!

Christmas w/ the Clements

My brother and his wife Gina always come home around Christmas. This year was no exception. We had a wonderful dinner and then spent lots of time together during their stay! We were exceptionally thankful to have them here because Gina is very pregnant and still wanted to make the trip to Ohio! We really appreciate them coming up here and hope that they had a wonderful time! Here are some pictures from our time together! It is awesome seeing Ryan and his cousin Emma play together! They sure do love each other! It will be even more fun when the new Clement baby is around to play with Aaron! God sure is blessing us!

Christmas Day!

Christmas day is always a hectic day. We always start out at home opening our family gifts from Santa. We thought for sure Ryan would be all about the presents this year, but he really didn't care! After the third present (he had two more to open) he was done. I ended up opening the last two and Aaron's presents! It was fun though to see him with his new dog "Buuni"(Bernie)-he loves this dog and it is so much nicer then a real dog at this point in our lives!

After that we went to Paul's mom and dad's for brunch and more gift opening! We are always spoiled rotten there and again Ryan didn't really want to open gifts! Unfortunately, Marv and Alex weren't there b/c Alex was sick :( but Santa didn't forget them and gifts were sent home w/ Lisa! We then went to my mom and dad's for the Zirkle Christmas and finally ended up back at the Sadlers. It was a lot of driving but it's always great to spend time with our families!

Still trying to get Aaron to smile on camera!

Anybody who has spent time w/ Paul knows that he loves infomercials and is always telling me that we "just need to get that!" As a joke, his mom got him Sham-wow! Even though he trys to deny it, you can just see how excited he is!

Christmas Eve at Honeys

The Sadlers have a tradition of going to Grandma Honey's house for supper on Christmas Eve. She generally cooks up a feast that always includes two things...prime rib and yorkshire pudding that was Papa Sadler's mom's recipe from England! It is always nice to get into the Christmas spirit by spending time with family. Here are a few pictures from the evening. Ryan didn't really eat with us yet, but once he knows what he is missing we're in trouble!
