Trying to Smile

Guest blogger: Daddy!
Aaron has been sneaking out some smiles, unfortunately Mommy & Daddy haven't been lucky enough to get a picture of one, this is the closest we have so far:

As you can see, Ryan doesn't seem to have a problem smiling!

Mommy never has had any problem smiling, especially when surrounded by her boys!

Oh SH*@!!!!!

Well it's official, Ryan has said his first cuss word thanks to his daddy! Paul was watching the Buckeyes play and someone missed an open 3 pointer. Daddy was upset and said "Oh Sh*@!" Before I knew what was happening Ryan repeated it! I gave Paul a dirty look and then said, "At least he waited until he was three to do it!" We had a good laugh after that...needless to say, daddy will need to watch his language while watching his favorite sports teams on television now!

Happy Anniversary Grandma and Papa Sadler!

Grandma and PaPa Sadler celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on November 30th. We celebrated that, Thanksgiving, and Paul/Ryan's birthday all at once! It was SOME party! Anyway, I wanted to share some pictures and video from the anniversary portion of the party! It was GREAT b/c Paul Sr. FINALLY got Jane! He had pictures made from their wedding proofs. Jane has been complaining for 40 years that he never let her get pictures and so he had them done...Boy was she surprised and HAPPY!

Jane just after opening her gift from Paul Sr.

5 minutes later and STILL smiling...I think she REALLY liked it!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

As mentioned previously, we celebrated a bunch of things all at once! Ryan's birthday party was quite fun! He received tons of wonderful gifts and some as far away as Arizona and Georgia! Thank you very much everyone!

One of the best gifts was that Uncle Marv made his birthday cake! He did a fantastic job of making a Spongebob cake, which Ryan is STILL talking about! We had to sing happy birthday to Ryan three or four times because he liked it so much! I'm not sure if he liked the attention or that he got to blow out a candle afterwards! Nonetheless, he really enjoyed his birthday and here are a few pictures from the party as well as some video footage of Ryan singing happy birthday over and over again after we sang it to him.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Paul turned the big 3-5 last Friday. We celebrated by going to one of his favorite restaurants-Olive Garden and then going to see the movie Role Models. We finished up the evening by going to Delphos to congratulate them on a state title! Luckily "am-ma, papa--Cassie" came to watch the boys so we could have a worry free evening! Here is a picture of Paul and his boys on his birthday!

Here is Ryan wishing his dad a happy birthday...you might have to listen a couple of times to get it!

Well baby check-ups

Both Ryan and Aaron had well baby check-ups last week. I called in Papa Clement for reinforcements and boy was I glad I did! For Ryan's three year check up he weighs 39 lbs and is 39 inches tall. He is in the 80th and 90th percentiles for his age! We are proud of our above average kid! At Aaron's 2 week check-up he weighs 9 lbs 14 oz and is 21 inches long. That is a gain of 1 lb and 1 inch from the week before. It seems that he is well on his way to being a big boy like his older brother!
Here are a couple of pictures from last week.

Aaron compared to daddy's shoe...which one is bigger?

Same concept-different baby! This is Ryan at 2 weeks just like Aaron is in the above picture. Do they look alike? I'm not sure...

Ryan's last day of school

Ryan has been going to an Early Intervention preschool for about a year to work on his speech. He absolutely loves riding the bus and seeing his friends Hayden, Alex, and Malicki! His last day was the Tues before Thanksgiving because he can't go there once he turns 3. He hasn't grasped the concept that the "(s)chool bus" won't be coming anymore and that he won't be going to "Ryan's (s)chool". Every other day he asks if the "bus coming?" and I have to tell him that the bus won't be coming anymore. It is still up for debate whether or not he will start going to preschool after the first of the year. Here is a picture of Ryan on the bus on the last day of school!

Go Bucks!

Every year, Paul and I go to an Ohio State/Michigan party put on by his best friend Paul Mesker. It is an all day event which usually ends in me going home to take a nap and Paul staying late into the evening to play poker! We didn't bring the boys to the party, but the grandparents did a swap there so everyone could see them! Here are a few pictures from the big day!

Ryan's Castle

We've been playing blocks a lot lately with Ryan and every time we do, we build a "casel". This is the first "casel" Ryan has built around me, so I wanted to share with everyone "Ryan's casel".
